Advance your Career—or Your Education
TCI College graduates who earn their associate degree in business administration go on to a variety of careers including administrative assistant, client service professional, office coordinator or manager, college or library assistant and business manager. Others go on to continue their education at leading four-year colleges that share TCI’s New York State Board of Regents State or Middle States Commission on Higher Education Regional Accreditations.

Breana Halladeen is a TCI Business Administration major with a talent—and a dream. The New York native is an aspiring makeup artist who wants to own her own salon some day. Breana, who expects to earn her degree in May 2016, describes herself as a “people person who believes in the potential of everyone.” She was working at Subway before she decided to “take control” of her life and enroll at TCI.

How did you know TCI was the right school for you? Actually, I didn’t know if TCI was right for me. I was looking for a technical school. Now, I know the skills I’ve learned at TCI are going to help me achieve my goal. My marketing, finance and economics classes have helped drive me the most.

What is your career goal? I want to own my own salon. At TCI, I’ve learned what to do—and what not to do—while owning and operating a small business. But anything having to do with beauty, fashion and communication with others would be cool. If I don’t own my own successful business, MAC Cosmetics or Sephora would be my go-to companies.

What do you do outside of TCI that drives you to achieve your goals? I practice my makeup and hairdressing skills. I also earned my cosmetology license—my greatest accomplishment so far.
