Learning Center
TCI College offers students drop-in tutoring services at its main campus and the 56th Street Annex. The TCI Learning Center also sponsors the Peer Mentoring Program, which helps new students make a successful transition into the college environment. Students in need can look to the Learning Center for some financial support through its grants programs.

The Peer Mentoring Program

Through the TCI Peer Mentoring Program (TPMP), students in their third or fourth semester volunteer to help first-semester students get acquainted with college life. The group meets every Thursday from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm.
Mentors attend a one-day workshop to strengthen their mentoring skills. Candidates must have at least a 3.0 GPA, have an outgoing personality, and want to help a fellow student.
Grants

Success Grant
TCI is piloting its Success Grant in spring 2010. All full-time students have the chance to earn a $200 grant just by going to class! This grant is the Learning Center’s way of rewarding students with excellent attendance, as well as motivating all students to go to class.
Graduate Grant
TCI recognizes that students in their final semester often have difficulty covering tuition and fees. Starting in spring 2010, the Graduate Grant will be offered to all students who are attending at least half-time and only need one to six credits to graduate. Eligible students must apply for financial aid; after all aid is applied, TCI will cover outstanding tuition and fees for the semester.
